I am a Spanish teacher and my students (Advanced and AP levels) love the original version in English, so I thought to try the Spanish version. How disappointing! Many of the red cards have either Mexican slang or references to Mexican idioms or Mexican characters, (some very obscure: a comedian from the 1950's?)I am from Latin America and I could not understand many of the references to Mexican lore. Please don't get me wrong, I respect Mexican culture as part of the Hispanic Culture and this may be a fabulous game to play if you can relate to its contents 100%; my point is that for non-Mexicans, the vernacular references are obscure to the point of making no sense at all. My opinion is that this game would not be very useful as a classroom tool.
