First, I am relieved I am not the only one who had issues getting to the battery compartment. As a father of two children, I've inserted batteries into every toy imaginable---but this was ridiculous. I have pretty much every type/size screw driver available. Because I could not see the head of the screw, I checked the instructions and all it had was a picture of a Philips head, so of course I used a standard #2 Philips. Within seconds I stripped the head of the screw. A note in the instructions stating that precision screw driver was required would have been helpful. This is a MAJOR flaw of the toy.
I was eventually able to get it off, and I'm glad I did as the toy is a lot of fun. I was skeptical as to how well the system would read the hand pads, but it is incredibly sensitive and captures/records players catches with ease. This game is much like Hyperslide meets Hot Potato. While we've only played it a few times, the entire family has thoroughly enjoyed the game. However, I not looking forward to having to replace the batteries on this.Get more detail about Cosmic Catch - Colors May Vary.
