I purchased this game awhile back and have used it frequently. It's a good toy to have when you just want to kill a few minutes. No major complaints. The only frustrating thing is that some of the questions do not at all pertain to your answer. For instance, you may have told the machine that you are thinking of an 'thing' (such as The Quibbler or Bertie Bott's Beans) However, the machine still asks questions such as "Do you like Harry Potter?" It doesn't seem to really matter whether you enter 'person', 'place', 'thing' or 'unknown.'

Still, a fun item to have and the backlight on it makes it very easy to read. It would be nice if the questions would go faster. so i just got into DnD 4e and i've been reading up on being a DM. now at the time i was investing in the tiles that WoTC came out with, but i'm just spending money. then when i bought the modules adventures they didn't have the published maps with them so it left me confused and thinking 'how can i use those dungeons if i don't have the tiles or maps?' then i saw this battle map here and thought i give it a try since i read a lot of good reviews about it. when it came i felt the quality of it, really great look and i also bought the wet markers it came with since the mat is made of vinyl. USE wet eraser markers not dry because with wet you can wipe it clean with a wet cloth and use it again with dry its permanent. i'm now gonna buy the mega mat as well which is about 2ft by a 1 1/2 since i bought 2 of these which is worth it but a bigger one will sever better especially if you don't want the hassle of erasing and drawing a new area because you don't have enough room. its one side square and the other hex so if you're looking for double sided squares you'll be disappointed, but this will last you for a long time and save you money in the long run as well and as a DM i'm more prepared to run my dungeons and the hex you can use for other Role Playing games.

We purchased this at an upscale toy store in the Indianapolis area for my daughter's birthday. The spinner never worked (flimsy plastic inside cardboard insert...won't stay in for 9 out of 10 attempts at a spin. The colorform stickers themselves never did stick to the cardboard much and DEFINITELY did not stick back on the waxed paper where you're ostensibly supposed to store them. I've read other reviews suggesting that the formula or approach to manufacturing must have changed over the years as the new colorforms don't stick as well as the old. That's definitely my experience - this was as bad or worse as a heavily used set we bought at a garage sale when ours was fresh out of the box.

First, I am relieved I am not the only one who had issues getting to the battery compartment. As a father of two children, I've inserted batteries into every toy imaginable---but this was ridiculous. I have pretty much every type/size screw driver available. Because I could not see the head of the screw, I checked the instructions and all it had was a picture of a Philips head, so of course I used a standard #2 Philips. Within seconds I stripped the head of the screw. A note in the instructions stating that precision screw driver was required would have been helpful. This is a MAJOR flaw of the toy.

I was eventually able to get it off, and I'm glad I did as the toy is a lot of fun. I was skeptical as to how well the system would read the hand pads, but it is incredibly sensitive and captures/records players catches with ease. This game is much like Hyperslide meets Hot Potato. While we've only played it a few times, the entire family has thoroughly enjoyed the game. I love the large size of the tiles for little kids to move around. There is one pro & con on the outermost circle of tiles:

1. Pros: Very useful for young kids to manipulate the tiles around the square to get the tile to where they need to.

2. Cons: It takes a bit for the kid to realize the actual puzzle starts in the second row, second column. Have to close the lid, explain their target 9 squares.
